On to the next stop, India! On the plane to India, Josh got pretty sick and spent most of this leg of the trip in bed resting. Poor guy! His Indian hometown, tons of friends in the area, and he couldn't get out much. We were really looking forward to meeting a sweet young lady that we only knew through pictures and a letter, Manju. Not feeling well, but determined to meet her, Josh rested most of the day and went out with us to the children's home. When we pulled up, the kids started yelling for her...they all knew today was a special day for all of us!
After spending a few minutes together, Manju wanted to show us pictures of her mom. Every year, she and her mom would get pictures taken together. WHAT A TREASURE! Good mom!!
After spending a little time together, we sat on the floor together and ate dinner. They made us some special non-spicy curry...they, obviously, don't know us very well! Manju was delighted when we wanted the spicy curry!
Dinner, bible study, and a simple birthday party for another young lady in the home.
This was one of the most special days to me! Wish we could have stayed longer, but am thankful for the time we had. Need to get all these pictures together so I can send her some. (ordering now)
